Nicholas Nguyen joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2017 as a Business Development Associate. His primary focus is to source clients seeking debt and equity solutions for their commercial real estate transactions.
With more than a decade of diverse experience, Mr. Nguyen has worked on assets across all property types totaling over $10 billion, and has been involved in fund and portfolio management, acquisitions, equity and debt financing, property development and operations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nguyen worked for the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Building and Land Technology, and GE Capital Real Estate.
Mr. Nguyen earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business (with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Land Development) from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
James Keenoy joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2017 as a Business Development Associate. His primary focus is identifying and interacting with potential clients seeking debt and equity solutions for their commercial real estate transactions.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Keenoy held positions at REIS and Cushman & Wakefield, as well as Chandan Economics, where he collaborated with Wharton School professor and NYU School of Professional Studies (NYUSPS) Schack Institute of Real Estate Dean, Dr. Sam Chandan, in creating Loan Comps, an industry-first commercial mortgage database and loan comparison tool. He also has consulted several CRE data startups and founded a firm that specialized in sourcing distressed CRE debt for opportunistic investors.
Mr. Keenoy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Business Administration from The College of New Jersey, with concentrations in finance and statistics.
Elena Winters joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2017 as a Business Development Associate. Elena focuses on originating business opportunities for Eyzenberg & Company by identifying and interacting with potential clients seeking debt and equity solutions for their commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Eyzenberg & Company, Elena spent most of her career working for a construction management and development company, where she has held various positions and learned its core business, originated real estate investment opportunities, and successfully secured several contracted services.
Elena earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance, Summa Cum Laude, from Fordham University, Gabelli School of Business. Prior to coming to the United States, Elena studied electrical engineering at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
Alex Anderson joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2017 as a Business Development Associate. Alex is primarily focused on identifying and interacting with potential clients seeking debt, equity, & structured capital solutions for their commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Eyzenberg & Company, Alex worked as the Head of Sales for a boutique construction company in New Jersey. Before working in the real estate and construction industries, Alex interned as a Sales Analyst at Atlantic Records.
Alex studied Music Industry at Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Finance with a specialization in Real Estate at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Katherine joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2016 as Business Development Associate. Katherine focuses on identifying potential debt and equity real estate business opportunities while sustaining key client relationships and creating long term value for the firm.
In 2011, Katherine spearheaded a real estate expansion division for Mega Home Group where under her close leadership and guidance generated mutli-million dollar contracts and investments in Colombia and Panama. Katherine created investment strategies and market research detailing growth opportunities in specific regions of Colombia; Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena.
Katherine is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments at New York University (NYU). She currently serves as a student leader at the NYU Real Estate Student Association (REISA) which has given her the opportunity to organize events for graduate students and interact with influential people in the real estate industry. Katherine was a semifinalist in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Real Estate Case Competition 2016 while representing NYU. Katherine has been awarded with the Association of Real Estate Women Scholarship and WX, New York Women in Real Estate Scholarship. Katherine holds a Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is fluent in Spanish and a member of Urban Land Institute.
Mila Babenko joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2017 as an Analyst. Mila focuses on underwriting analysis, financing memoranda preparation and assists senior team members with ongoing client management and placement efforts for debt and equity capitalization assignments.
Prior to joining Eyzenberg & Company, Mila was an Investment Analyst with a Hong-Kong based family office in New York, where she was primarily responsible for investment activities in Eastern and Central Europe. While at the firm, she contributed to business development, deal sourcing and financial analysis of potential investment opportunities. Ms. Babenko was previously a Sales Associate with an exclusive distributor of professional equipment for restaurants and hotels in Ukraine. There, she was also closely involved in asset management of the company’s real estate portfolio. Prior, Mila was a Business Development associate with a venture capital seed accelerator fund based in Kiev, Ukraine.
Mila holds a Master’s degree from Cornell School of Hotel Administration with a minor in Real Estate Finance and Investments. Also, she is a graduate of National Technical University of Ukraine, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Linguistics.
Anastasia Vladislavova joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2016 as a Business Development Associate. Anastasia is primarily focused on identifying and interacting with potential clients seeking debt and equity solutions for their commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Eyzenberg & Company, Ms. Vladislavova spent the majority of her career in residential real estate sales in Moscow where she managed a high performing group of 20 agents. Her passion for the real estate industry brought her to NYC in 2014 to pursue a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from NYU and deepen her industry experience.
In addition, Ms. Vladislavova worked for a real estate fund in Riga, Latvia and for a Property Management company in New York City while advancing her education.
Ms. Vladislavova earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia and a Master of Science Degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments from Schack Institute of Real Estate, New York University. She is a member of Urban Land Institute.
Diana Davidson joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2016 as an analyst. Diana focuses on underwriting analysis, financing memoranda preparation and assists senior team members with ongoing client management and placement efforts for debt and equity capitalization assignments.
Prior to joining Eyzenberg & Company, Diana was a small business owner. During her tenure as a multi-unit franchisee of a national self-serve frozen yogurt franchise, Diana spearheaded the rollout of the brand in the New York market and managed construction for all new store locations as well as ongoing business operations. Most recently, in her transition into real estate finance, Diana was an analyst intern with the real estate acquisitions team at Wexford Capital, a Greenwich CT- based hedge fund and private equity firm, where she contributed to the sourcing, analysis and due diligence of a variety of new deals in many different markets nationwide and across all major property types.
Diana holds a Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She has also earned a certificate in real estate finance and investment from New York Universities Schack institute of real estate.
Jeff Conti joined Eyzenberg & Company in September 2016 as a Managing Director. His responsibilities include originating capital raising & advisory service assignments as well as supervising transaction execution of the Firm’s current mandates.
Mr. Conti has over 25 years of commercial real estate investment experience and has an in-depth knowledge of the commercial mortgage lending industry, across all major asset classes, and in various economic cycles. He has extensive experience in business development, balance sheet lending, real estate credit, and equity investments, including bridge loans, mezzanine debt, B-notes, preferred equity, and joint venture equity, across the risk-return spectrum. Mr. Conti has originated over $5B of commercial real estate debt, equity and real estate private equity investments throughout his career.
Mr. Conti was previously an Executive Director with Annaly Commercial Real Estate Group, a New York-based commercial mortgage REIT, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and underwriting fixed and floating rate debt, bridge loans, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and B-notes, on a national basis. There he led the full investment process from deal sourcing, credit analysis, structuring, underwriting, negotiation, investment committee presentations, and legal documentation.
Prior to Annaly, Mr. Conti was a Vice President with Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREI), in the Merchant Banking Group, where he was responsible for originating and structuring entity level investments in real estate operating companies, joint venture equity and mezzanine debt. There he managed real estate private equity investments and ventures by serving on company boards, and oversaw the timely preparation of investment level reports to fund investors.
Prior to PREI, Mr. Conti was a Managing Director-Regional Head of Commercial Mortgage Originations, with TIAA-CREF, where he oversaw the large loan production team for the Eastern United States and Canada. The team he managed was responsible for originating $1B of commercial loans on an annual basis. Over his 18-year career at TIAA-CREF, Mr. Conti also served in various other capacities including real estate acquisitions, portfolio management, loan surveillance, loan restructuring, and the loan closing process.
Mr. Conti received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Rider College and a Diploma in Real Estate from New York University.
Robert Ginsberg joined Eyzenberg & Company in September 2016 as a Managing Director. His responsibilities include originating capital raising & advisory service assignments as well as supervising transaction execution of the Firm’s current mandates. Additionally, Robert spearheads the Firm’s distressed debt workout practice.
Mr. Ginsberg was previously director of acquisitions with Chicago based Kaufman Jacobs, responsible for originating, structuring and closing real estate investment opportunities. Previously Mr. Ginsberg was managing director with NGKF where he headed NGKF’s workout advisory group helping borrowers/sponsors with distressed loans achieve optimal loan resolutions.
Prior to NGKF Mr. Ginsberg headed Torchlight Loan Services’ New York large loan workout group. As a special servicer, he was responsible for enforcing lender’s rights on behalf of approximately 30 CMBS trusts with approximately 30 billion in assets. This work included modifications, foreclosures, discounted payoffs, short sales, litigation, bankruptcies and note & property sales for office, retail, hospitality, multi-family, industrial, storage, parking and manufactured housing nationwide.
Prior to working at Torchlight, Mr. Ginsberg was a managing director of two real estate acquisition funds: National Government Properties and Government Properties Trust where he assembled two portfolios through both development and acquisitions worth over $1.25 Billion. Mr. Ginsberg is currently an adjunct assistant professor teaching real estate finance at New York University's Schack Institute of Real Estate.
Mr. Ginsberg graduated from Pace University's Lubin Graduate School of Business with an MBA in finance and from Wesleyan University with a BA in economics.
Ao Sun joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2016 as an associate. Ao focuses on underwriting analysis, financing memoranda preparation and assists senior team members with ongoing client management and placement efforts for debt and equity capitalization assignments. Additionally, she focuses on expanding and maintaining the firm’s relationships with Asian based capital providers.
Prior to join Eyzenberg & Company, Ao Sun worked for Suzuki Capital's Development group and Besyata Group's Acquisition group where she was closely involved in underwriting investment opportunities for retail, office and student housing transactions. Ao began her career in China Resources Land Limited, a Top 10 developer in China.
Ao is a graduate of New York University with a master's degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments. She is a native Mandarin speaker and a member of Urban Land Institute.
David Eyzenberg is President of Eyzenberg & Company, responsible for the operations of the company as well as the origination and execution of real estate investment banking transactions. Additionally, Mr. Eyzenberg is a partner at Anika Equities, a private equity vehicle focused on the creation and acquisition of ground leases. Complementing his professional endeavors, Mr. Eyzenberg teaches graduate real estate finance studies in the New York University Schack Institute’s Masters of Science in Real Estate and NYU Stern MBA programs.
Mr. Eyzenberg previously was a principal and U.S. lead for the real estate capital raising practice of Avison Young. He co-founded and oversaw a group that during his tenure expanded throughout multiple offices and consummated well over $1B of financing transactions.
Prior to Avison Young Mr. Eyzenberg was a managing director and head of commercial real estate for NewOak Capital, a New York-based financial advisory firm. There, Mr. Eyzenberg completed multiple property financing and CMBS/CRE CDO valuation assignments. His tenure at NewOak began in 2011 after its acquisition of the investment banking practice of Eyzenberg’s Prodigious Capital Group, where Mr. Eyzenberg served as president since 2005. Prior to running Prodigious Capital Group, Mr. Eyzenberg was associated with several boutique real estate investment banks. Mr. Eyzenberg began his real estate career on the buy side working for Merrill Lynch, Ramius Capital Group and Greenstreet Partners.
Mr. Eyzenberg is a graduate of New York University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in real estate finance and investment. He serves as president of the NYU Schack Real Estate Institute alumni board and also sits on the department's advisory committee. Mr. Eyzenberg is an active member of ULI, ICSC, RELA and MBA, and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Joshua Brenner joined Eyzenberg & Company in 2017 as a Business Development Associate. His primary focus is identifying and interacting with potential clients who are seeking debt and equity solutions for their commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brenner was an insurance and investment advisor with Fifth Avenue Financial in New York City. He also has experience in corporate middle-market investment banking and served in the U.S. Navy as a SONAR Technician.
Mr. Brenner holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from Columbia University.
Ian Ponniah joined Eyzenberg & Company in September 2016 as a Managing Director. His responsibilities include originating capital raising & advisory service assignments as well as supervising transaction execution of the Firm’s current mandates.
Prior to joining Eyzenberg & Company Mr. Ponniah served as the Head of Originations for a New York based fund manager, where he was responsible for the solicitation, structuring and underwriting of bridge loans to NYC developers, operators and investors, including the purchase of non-performing notes. Additionally, Mr, Ponniah was a Senior Director of Originations and Structuring at Aristone Realty Capital from 2012. While at Aristone, Mr. Ponniah coordinated, structured, and managed in excess of $250M of high-yield subordinated financings in the form of A/B, junior debt, mezzanine, and/or preferred equity structures for the recapitalization of complex performing and non-performing real estate assets. Before joining Aristone Realty Capital, Mr. Ponniah served as a Director in the Commercial Real Estate division at New Oak Capital in 2011, where he was responsible for directing the firm's Investment Banking activities. Mr. Ponniah has also served as the Director of Acquisitions and Capital Markets at Madison Equities from 2004, a New York based real estate development and investment firm. While at Madison Equities, Mr. Ponniah had coordinated, structured, and executed acquisitions, joint ventures, and new capital commitments totaling over $1 billion encompassing new residential and hospitality developments in New York City. In 2003, Mr. Ponniah served as Vice President at Wall Street Realty Capital where he had managed, coordinated and assisted in the successful execution of various financial advisory and capital raising assignments totaling over $350M in equity and debt financings. Prior to Wall Street Realty Capital, Mr. Ponniah was a Mergers & Acquisition Vice President in ABN Amro’s Global Integrated Energy Group and Global Real Estate Group and was directly involved in over $4 billion of strategic M&A, debt and equity assignments.
Mr. Ponniah had begun his real estate career as a design architect working for several prominent Australian and Hong Kong firms. Mr. Ponniah earned an MS in Real Estate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Adelaide in Australia.
